Label Text is Outside the Lines
|
If your Nutrition Facts labels experience any of the following symptoms, it is because you have your display properties set to large fonts (120 dpi) rather than normal fonts (96 dpi).
- Label text is outside the lines.
- Label text is squeezed together.
You can correct this by changing the display properties on your computer.
Here are step by step instructions for Windows XP and earlier. (For Windows Vista and Windows 7 see below.)
- Right click in the background of your desktop (anywhere not directly on an icon). (The desktop is the main Windows screen.)
- In the menu that comes up left click Properties. This will open the Display Properties window.
- In the Display Properties window click the Settings tab.
- Some computers will have Font Size in the Settings tab. If not, click the Advanced button.
- Change the Font Size (or DPI Setting) from Large Fonts (120 dpi) to Small Fonts (96 dpi).
- Click Apply and/or OK on each window. Some computers may require you to restart.
Here are step by step instructions for Windows Vista.
- Click the Start button and then choose Control Panel from the Start Menu.
- In Control Panel, double click Personalization.
- In the Control Panel Personalization window click Adjust Font Size (DPI) under Tasks.
- If User Account Control comes up, click Continue.
- Set the font size to 96 dpi, then click Apply and OK. You may need to restart your computer.
Here are step by step instructions for Windows 7.
- Click the Start button and then choose Control Panel from the Start Menu.
- In Control Panel, double click Personalization.
- In the Control Panel Personalization window click Display under See Also.
- Set the text size to Smaller - 100% (default), then click Apply. You may need to restart your computer.
Everything on your screen will appear a little smaller, but the nutraCoster labels will work correctly.
If necessary you can make this change only to create Nutrition Facts labels, and then change back to large fonts when the labels are done.
